Midland, TX (Local Big 2 News) -"As an assistant coach, we always wanted her to spend more time with varsity and I’m excited that we're gonna get that chance to spend a lot of time with her" said Midland High Soccer Midfielder, Sarah Kirsa.
Kirsa and the team wishes were answered and Coach Meagan Lasley will call the shots for the Lady Bulldogs next year.
"I just feel completely honored to be able to have this opportunity to step into this role that I’ve kind of looked up to for the past two years", said Midland High School Girls’ Soccer Head Coach, Meagan Lasley.
Lasley has carefully studied under the direction of former head coach, Ryan Dunleavy.
She believes he has set the tone for a winning program.
“The foundation of the team and the program is set, I have the same expectations as Coach Dunleavy, the mentality, and everything is set. I just think we need to up the intensity a little”, said Lasley.
The girls say they are pleased with the decision and the future of Lady Bulldog soccer.
"I have a lot of confidence in coach lasley and we love her, so it's going to be a good year", said Kirsa.
