Midland High Beats Tascosa; Prepares for Permian

The Midland High Bulldogs went into Amarillo and took a victory from Tascosa. Now the Bulldogs come back home to host the 1-3 Permian Panthers.
The Midland High Bulldogs spoiled the Amarillo Tascosa Rebels homecoming by defeating them 37-27 on Saturday afternoon from Dick Bivins Stadium. Midland High's running game proved to be a force, but they still have questions about who the main play caller will be. Seniors Sam Grimes and Preston Howey both saw playing time Saturday, with Howey playing the majority of the 2nd half. Midland head coach Craig Yenzer said his defense needs to work on not surrendering big plays, but overall he was satisfied with his teams performance.

"It's good to go up there because it's a tough place to play. It's a long trip so we spent the night. There were a lot of different issues, it was Tascosa's homecoming so all those distractions. To go out in this district and get a win on the road, that's a big deal" said Yenzer.
