Midland Christian Mustangs Riding In To Bye Week Undefeated at 8-0

The Mustangs are smooth sailing through eight games, but they won't step off the gas until their goal is reached.
Through eight games in 2013, the Midland Christian Mustangs haven't been challenged en route to their undefeated start. The Mustangs are going for their third consecutive state championship, and they won't stop until their end goal is reached.

This week however, the Mustangs will have a bye week and a chance to rejuvenate as they prepare for the final stretch of the regular season, and what is expected to be another deep post season run for Midland Christian.

Head coach Greg McClendon said this about his plans for the team during their open week "You know we're going to work on not getting anybody injured. We're going to try and get better in conditioning, and give these guys a little break. Give them a little breath and hopefully it's the best thing for us right now because it's what we have and that's how we approach things. We're going to come out of this bye week with a renewed spirit and ready to go. The way we look at it is we have six more weeks of getting after it and grinding it out and hopefully hanging another banner."
