MHS Returns Home With Positives From L.D. Bell Loss

The Midland High Bulldogs are 0-2 when traveling to DFW, but head coach Craig Yenzer said there were some positives in the Bulldogs 49-37 loss to L.D. Bell.

The Midland High Bulldogs are 0-2 in two trips to Dallas/Fort Worth, but there were some positives for MHS head coach Craig Yenzer's Bulldogs in their 49-37 loss to L.D. Bell Friday night.

Midland high was able to put up a solid amount of points against a good athletic Bell defense, and the Bulldogs new 4-2-5 defensive scheme is starting to come along nicely. Here's coach Yenzer’s thought on his bulldogs heading into an open week.

"Going into open week this week obviously we're working on a lot of the little things. We felt like we were close against Bell, but we just didn't finish plays. Defensively, I thought we played pretty good except in certain instances where we gave up the big play. Offensively I was a little less satisfied with our offensive performance. I thought that we weren't consistent. But the big picture for us is we really came away saying these are things that we need to get fixed" said Yenzer.
