Midland College Head basketball coach Grant McCasland has built an impressive resume, national champions in 2007, national runner-up in 2009, compiling over 140 wins, and doing it in just five years at the helm.

A blueprint for success, now being sought after by four year institutions.

M-C Athletic Director Forrest Allen confirmed the hire today.

McCasland ends his stint at Midland College in a season which he claimed his second conference title and made the national tournament for the third time.

A press conference is to be held in Wichita Falls tomorrow at 2 pm.

The MC basketball community also lost three players to Divison I school today: David Terrell to Moorehead St., Brad Kelleher to Hofstra, and Lady Chap Lyrell Barfield to Florida Atlantic University.
