Here's the full media release from the Eddy County Sheriff's Department:

(Artesia, NM) Sheriff Scott London reports that on February 3rd, 2014 deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to a report of an industrial incident just off of Hilltop Road east of Artesia, New Mexico. Upon arrival, deputies learned that a roustabout crew employed by Patron Services of Lovington New Mexico was setting up an oilfield location building up a pump jack. While maneuvering parts for assembly it is believed that the hoist made contact with an overhead electrical line electrocuting 28 year old Alejandro Garcia Perez of Lovington New Mexico. It appeared that he suffered additional severe injuries to the head and was later pronounced deceased by the Office of the Medical Investigator. Mr. Garcia Perez had been employed with Patron Services for approximately 7 months. His body was sent to the Office of the Medical Investigator in Albuquerque, New Mexico to determine cause and manner of death. The Eddy County Sheriff's Department Detective Division is in charge of the ongoing investigation.
