Lee Rebels Defense Steps Up - Offense Inconsistent in Win vs. Lubbock Coronado

The Lee Rebels took care of the Lubbock Coronado Mustangs 37-6, but head coach James Morton wants to see more consistency out of his offense.
Midland Lee has continued their strong start to the 2013 season. With their only loss coming to the Southlake Carroll Dragons, the Rebels have started 2-0 in District 2-5A play and are showing they can win in a number of ways.

The Rebels beat Lubbock Coronado 37-6, forcing four turnovers and not allowing the Mustangs to pass for more than 100 yards. But head coach James Morton wasn't pleased with his offensive production in the game, and said there is definitely room for improvement.

Morton said "I thought we took a step back offensively even though we put up 37 points. We just had some mistakes that we don't need to have especially this time of the year. Defensively I was very pleased with the way that we played against Coronado who has a lot of speed. I told the kids after the game if someone told me that we were going to win 37-6 I would have felt like that was a big win for us. But our offense knows they can do a lot better than what they did do."
