Isolated Rain Chances Today, As Well As Next Week 9-13-13

We could see an isolated shot at storms today, but better chances are next week
For today...

We see Culberson and Eddy County dry out, finally.

That means water levels will start to recede and those areas should dry out.

The central Permian Basin has a shot at some rain today.

Isolated storms could pop up early this afternoon.

Overall, only about a 10% coverage with storms.

Highs will, once again, be right around the 90 degree mark today.

Tomorrow...

Drier conditions across the area, and with mostly sunny skies, we should see temperatures around the 90 degree mark again.

Maybe an isolated storm out in SE New Mexico, but nothing heavy.

Extended...

Next week holds our next best shot at showers and storms.

A tropical depression is forecast to become a tropical storm this weekend and as it tracks up the Mexican mainland, it will lose strength.

The remnants of that storm could provide some widespread rainfall Monday and Tuesday.

This is still a few days out, so we will keep an eye on the storm and update rain chances as needed...right now, only 20%.
