Hundreds of People Will Help Make the Basin Beautiful
ODESSA/MIDLAND -- Litter is a community wide issue and it’s going to take the entire community to clean up the problem. Do your part by participating in the annual Don’t Mess with Texas Trash Off on Saturday, April 5.

Trash pickup starts at 9 a.m. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. at Woodson Park, 1120 East Murphy. Odessa Volunteers have the opportunity to win great door prizes, scholarships will be awarded to students attending UTPB and Odessa College and everyone will receive a reusable bag.

Registration is underway and volunteers are strongly encouraged to pick up their trash bags, gloves and their t-shirts at the Keep Odessa Beautiful offices, 119 West Fourth Street, prior to the event. Volunteers will have the opportunity to register late the day of the event at Woodson Park.

Midlanders will also get together on Saturday, April 5, 2014, for one of the nation’s largest cleanups – The Great American Cleanup/Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off – co-sponsored by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Keep America Beautiful (KAB) and Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB), the grassroots arm of the Don’t Mess with Texas campaign and Keep Midland Beautiful.
