Hounds Drop 5th Straight, Get Swept By Corpus Christi

The RockHounds open up a home stand by being swept at the hands of the Corpus Christi Hooks, fall to 15-22 overall.
It started out ugly for the RockHounds on Sunday evening as Midland allowed three runs in the first inning and couldn't recover.

Although the Corpus Christi Hooks only put two more runs on the board for the entire game, the Midland offense never found their groove, only scoring two runs on eight hits.

Midland is now 15-22 overall, and hold third place in the Texas League South standings.

The Hounds are 7 games back of the San Antonio Missions in first place, and only 1 game ahead of the Frisco RoughRiders who sit in last place.

Midland opens a three game home stand with Frisco starting Monday, July 29th at 6:30 p.m.
