Wearing ear plugs can prevent Swimmer's Ear:

- Infection of the outer ear canal
- Can be caused by irritation from long periods of moisture
- Water stays in the canal after swimming
- The canal becomes irritated which can lead to an infection - "Swimmer's Ear"
