Golf Tips #10 06-30-13

IN THIS WEEKS GOLF HEADQUARTER'S GOLF TIPS SEGMENT CLUB PRO MIKE CROSSER TEACHES HORACE BROWN HOW TO HIT A GOLF BALL IN THE WEST TEXAS WIND.
(Mike)  Okay so you hit it really high didn't hit it really far.  Again we have to make sure with the west Texas wind you know what we're doing.  Stay where you are and I'm gonna move you back a little.  So now to force your hand to drag through a little bit lower and hit it a little bit lower.  Good.  There you go.

(Horace)   I hit that thin to.

(Mike)  But that's what you're suppose to do.  Okay you hit the club first before you hit the bottom.  Now on my range the wind always blows from the southwest.    So regardless if you come out here it's always gonna go right to left.  Just because of the way the wind blows.  If you go to Hogan, if you go to Green Tree, if you go to Ranchland  their all behind us.  You're gonna hit it right down the alley.  So keep that in mind when you come to driving range that mine doesn't make you feel to good because it always goes right to left.  But I've got a lot of grass and it's a nice area but it's just the way the shot goes.  And over at Hogan you're gonna hit it further because the winds behind you.  Okay.  Good.
