Golf Tip #10 6-29-14 Chipping

IN TONIGHT'S GOLF TIP GOLF PRO MIKE CROSSER SHOWS HORACE TWO CHIPPING TECHNIQUES.
Hoace)  Okay when it comes to chipping.  It's twenty?
(Mike)  It's twenty yards yes.
(Hoace)  How do I get that there and maybe make it stop.
(Mike)  Okay so the first thing you need to do is make sure the club sits flat.
(Hoace)  This is a sixty degree so.
(Mike)  So it's going to have a lot of loft so you can get the ball really high.  So we want to try to make sure we just slide the club underneath the ball.  So you obviously have to keep your focus right here.  And it's not a lot of this it's just make sure my shoulders my head stay still my shoulders are back and my shoulders are down through.
(Hoace)  You suggest angling your feet?
(Mike)  No I just suggest stay parallel so that that club is on a parallel line so you know where it's going all the time.  Again make sure you hit down short back swing.  Okay now what we're going to do by opening your hips it's going to allow you to hit the ball higher.  Now your hips are already open they're not closed so you don't have to worry about it.  So take tat same good swing.  Keep your head down.  Now increase your hand speed.  Keep your hips that way increase your hand speed.  You're going to hit the ball not as far but  you're going to hit a lot higher.  So this would be a stop and drop type shot.  Good, good, good.
