Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Houston Astros outfielder Dexter Fowler was not in the starting lineup for Monday's series finale against the Angels due to a lingering stomach virus.
Fowler missed the last three games due to gastroenteritis, staying at home instead of being with the team as he recovered. He rejoined the Astros on Monday, but was unlikely to see any playing time after losing 10 pounds in his bout with the illness.
It is unclear as to when Fowler will rejoin the lineup, but he will travel with the team for Tuesday's start of a three-game series against Toronto.
Fowler is hitting .500 (6-for-12) with a home run in three games this season.
