Fort Stockton, TX (Big 2 News) - Fort Stockton kids have a new curfew, with the possibility of hefty fines for parents.
Kids between the ages of nine and 17 aren't allowed in public places between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am, and midnight to 6:00 am on weekends.
Exceptions include the child being with his or her parents, emergencies, or to exercise first amendment rights.
First offenses get a written warning, and second offenses can carry a fine of up to $500.00.
On the third violation, the parents can be fined.
The law goes into effect Friday, June 13.
