<br mce_bogus="1">
A former Midland High School teacher will spend more than three years in prison.

Deborah Suzanne Morton is a former debate teacher who was part of a drug ring. She was giving drugs to some of her students.

Morton said she thanked the federal government for arresting her and helping her get clean. But she still got a stiff sentence from the court.
She'll also have to go through 500 hours of drug counseling while in prison. The other members of the ring received lesser sentences.
