Fire in Sage Street Leaves Four Families Displaced

Four Midland families were displaces Saturday after a fire occurred in their apartment complex.

The fire happened in the 3200 Block of Sage Street and authorities are still investigating the cause.

Firefighters said the fire started in a harness and traveled up the wall to the attic.

“Everything went up in smokes and I had to get my kids out of there my new born baby out of there,” said resident Raymond Losoye. “It's just heartbreaking, it’s heart breaking. I'm just going to reach out for help.”

Authorities said at least nine people living in the apartments were displaced.

The homes are not a total loss but there was significant water and smoke damage, firefighters said.

There were no injuries reported.
