Event Aims to Build Bridges for Business Opportunities

The Odessa Hispanic Chamber hosted a directors meeting for the Texas Association of Mexican-American Chambers of Commerce on Friday.
ODESSA, TX (Local Big 2 News) -- Various chambers of commerce chapters gather in Odessa, aiming to build bridges for business opportunities.

The Odessa Hispanic Chamber hosted Friday's event, also serving as a quarterly board meeting for the Texas Association of Mexican-American Chamber of Commerce, or TAMAC.

Local and state colleges and universities gave presentations, and organizers say the event served as an excellent chance to network.

"They're always looking for businesses that are historically underutilized, and the chambers help fulfill that role because they have more chambers that are ethnic minorities," Roland Barrera, chairman of the Texas Association of Mexican-American Chambers of Commerce, says.

The Texas Association of Mexican-American Chambers of Commerce Advocates for over half a million businesses throughout the state.
