An entire community is uniting to remember the life of 15-year-old Ronny Flores, who died from his injuries after a rollover accident on highway 191.

“Ronny is just so happy,” said his friend Cierra Carrasco. “He is always just smiling and he makes everybody laugh and he is just always making jokes.”

Carrasco organized the car washes on Friday and Saturday, and friends got together to hold a BBQ Sunday that would also help raise money for the family.

“It's going to help them a lot because their medical bills are going to be pretty expensive and for his funeral and stuff. I think it would help them a lot,” Carrasco said.

The teens communicated through social media, creating a big turnout for all the events organized.

“The word has been getting around through Instagram and Facebook and everybody is sharing,” said family friend Paulina Tomlinson. “ It’s kind of amazing how the community has come together.”

The group of teenagers said Flores would have wanted them to smile and be happy.

“If he was here he wouldn't have wanted anybody to be sad,” Carrasco said.

This is why they got together in his memory.

“I guess it's just what god wanted for him,” Carrasco said. “He didn't want him here suffering.”
