Midland, TX (Big 2 News) - The Court Appointed Special Advocates, known as CASA are expanding their volunteer base.
The organization has about 92 volunteers and Monday they added some more.
Six new volunteers were sworn into CASA Monday at the Midland County Courthouse.
Judge Sylvia Chavez swore them in and each one took an oath and made a promise to help protect both abused and neglected children.
CASA provide a voice for children placed in foster homes.
Once these volunteers are appointed to a case, they can serve anywhere from a year to 18 months.
