Bulldogs Welcome in Cooper for big 2-5A match up

Midland High has a huge game Friday night when they welcome in Lorenzo Joe and the Abilene Cooper Cougars.
Midland High is coming off a blow out loss to the San Angelo Central Bobcats. But the Bulldogs need to have a short memory and focus on their next opponent, Lorenzo Joe and the Abilene Cooper Cougars.

Midland High head coach Craig Yenzer has chosen Sam Grimes to start the game against Cooper, after both Grimes and Preston Howey had been sharing snaps the past couple of games.

The Bulldog defense will have another dual threat quarterback to try and stop in Joe, but Yenzer knows you can't simply stop him, all you can do is try to contain him.

"You don't stop good players like that. You know you're not going to hold them to zero yards. That's unrealistic, so you have to have realistic goals. The defense is going to have to make them earn what they get. No long runs, which he's really done a lot of this year" said Yenzer.
