St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Sobotka received clearance from doctors on Monday and will be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Edmonton Oilers.

Sobotka declared himself good to go after the morning skate on Thursday.

"I've tried to push more after every practice, and I feel good, so I'm going to be playing tonight," Sobotka said.

Sobotka suffered a leg injury late in the Jan. 31 game against the Carolina Hurricanes and was placed on injured reserve the next day. He missed 12 games and an opportunity to represent the Czech Republic at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The 26-year-old Sobotka has seven goals and 18 assists in 46 games this season.

"When you get an elite player like Sobotka back, it's going to help you a lot. It will take him a few shifts to get up to speed, but he's such a good player for us right now," said Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock. "He controls the middle of the ice and he's a really competitive guy. The more the merrier. The more depth we add to our group, the better we feel about it."
