Accused Dog Killer Booked, Facing Animal Cruelty Charge

Derik Huskey, 29, was booked into the Midland county jail on a $100,000 bond.
MIDLAND, TX (Local Big 2 News) - The Midland man accused of stabbing his dog multiple times is now charged.

Police arrested Derik Huskey, 29, on Tuesday. He's accused of stabbing his dog to death.

He's facing a charge of cruelty to non-livestock animals.

The body of the dog was found on Tuesday, buried off of Cotton Flat Road.

Huskey's bond has been set $100,000.
