The Cowboys look to make 2014 another successful season.

Grandfalls Royalty won the 2013 six man division two state title.

"Holding up that state title. That was probably one of the most memorable moments I'll ever have," said senior wide receiver Julian Helms.

"Extreme excitement and extreme sense of accomplishment," expressed head coach Joe Helms.

That was last year. This is this year. The cowboys possess a focused attitude.

"We're here right now to work today. That's kind of the attitude they've taken," said Joe Helms.

Senior wide receiver Julian Helms wants to...

"Put that helmet on and focus on this year. That was 2013 this is 2014. We need to focus. We need to get better as a team and worry about district when that day comes," said Helms.

Grandfalls Royalty lost their 3 speedy running backs from last year's title team. Coach Helms says this year you'll see his team be more physically intimidating.

"We're going to be more reliant on a more balanced attack. We're not going to be as run oriented. We got a pretty good passing game coming. We actually gain a little size," said Helms.

The goal remains the same for the 2014 cowboys.

"It's no different than last year. Our goal was to win district once we win district than we address new goals," said Joe Helms.

"Just as high as last year because they've seen we can do it once so we can do it again," said Julian Helms.
