30 in 15: Andrews Mustangs

3rd Year Head Coach Ralph Mason says the kids believe in his system and the Mustangs will make some noise this season.

Andrews, TX (Local Big 2 Sports) -"Our kids are getting to that point now where they believe in everything that we do from offense and defense to weight room to conditioning", said Andrews Head Coach, Ralph Mason.

The Mustangs went 5-7 last season.

Andrews went to the Area Round of the playoffs, but lost to Big Spring, 56-7.

Coach Mason decided to make a major change from the last season.

"We got a new defense from last year, we didn't really know how to work it out and trust each other. After a year under our belt, we really trust each other; we’re learning how to be a family on the defensive side", said Andrews Quarterback, Marc Garcia.

This is the seniors third year playing through Coach Mason’s system and it's become an old hat to them.

"A lot of the kids that played on defense last year are returning and they have a greater understanding of what we're doing", said Mason.

"I think our leaders this year, we got a lot of great senior leaders, even our younger guys that have stepped up and just taken a lead on this team", said Andrews Receiver, Caleb O’Connor.

"That experience and the great leadership that we have this year is going to make a huge difference", said Mason.
