21-Year-Old Shot, Police Look For Shooter

Odessa Police ask for your help to find the person who shot a 21-year old.
ODESSA, TX (Big 2 News) -- Odessa Police ask for your help to find the person who shot a 21-year old.

The shooting happened along Fall Ave. Wednesday night.

Police say Jayirus White, 21, was shot in the back. He was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Police don't have any suspects yet.

TYPE OF INCIDENT: Gunshot Victim
DATE/TIME REPORTED: June 11, 2014 at approximately 2038 hours
LOCATION: 1200 Block of Fall Avenue
SUMMARY:

On the above date and time, the Odessa Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Fall Avenue in reference to shots being fired. Investigation revealed that a Jayirus White, 21 years of age, had been shot in the 1200 block of Fall Avenue.

Witnesses reported that unknown actors shot at White several times. White was transported to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury.

At this time no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting and there are no suspects. Anyone with information in reference to this incident is encouraged to call the Odessa Police Department or Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-TIPS.

The investigation is ongoing.
