Coming off of a 6-5 season in 2012, the Golden Cranes knew they had to do something different to prepare for 2013.
"Those guys came to me after last year's season and they decided they were going to do things right and do what they needed to do to prepare for this season."
So they did exactly that.
"This last summer everybody busted their butts in the weight room and we came a long ways from last year."
"We hit the gym pretty hard. We were in the field house every night lifting weights getting stronger and faster and trying to prepare ourselves."
Crane wants to be better, and they'll be depending on their mass number of players--particularly seniors.
"We have a pretty good group of seniors so we're pretty excited about that. A lot of the seniors have a couple years of Varsity experience so that's always a good thing going into a season."
But how far do the Golden Cranes want to soar?
"We're expecting to get to December football. That's our number one goal. That's what our kids talked about in the spring and in the offseason and that's what we'd like to do."
