Bronchos Playoff Hopes On The Line vs. Midland High

Odessa High will welcome in Midland High to Ratliff stadium on Friday night, and it will be a big game for both teams.
Midland High is 3-3 in district play after they defeated Lubbock Coronado 63-55 in a shoot out last week from Grande.

Odessa High is 2-4 after they lost to Abilene High 42-21 from Shotwell Stadium

The math is simple, for OHS to keep their playoff hopes alive they need to beat the Bulldogs this Friday night from Ratliff stadium, and both head coaches know what is at stake.

OHS head coach Ron King said "Well going into a game where your backs are against the wall and you realize that you're not out of it. Basically this game is a true playoff game for us. We need to concentrate and focus on what we need to do against Midland High and we'll worry about the other part later."

On the other sideline will be Midland High's head coach Craig Yenzer, who said this regarding the Bronchos, "I know their goal is to get into the playoffs. Obviously this is a backs to the wall type game for them because of that fourth loss last week. What they have to do is beat us to try and get into a three or four way tie for that fourth and final spot. We know it's going to be a big, big chore."
