ODESSA -- With so many people flocking to the Basin hoping to find work in the oilfields, finding housing has become increasingly difficult.
The Black Gold Lodge opened Friday in Odessa.
It's one of many temporary housing units springing up around the area.
The facility features a game room and a gym.
"Here we supply workforce housing mainly to oilfield operations but it is open to the public," Susan Vincent said. Vincent is the lodge manager of Black Gold.
The Black Gold Lodge offers rates for people off the street starting at $135 per night, but they do have reduced rates for folks that want to stay long term, and we're told those long term rates are negotiable.
