MIDLAND -- Todd Staples, who's running for Lieutenant Governor of Texas in 2014, made a stop in Midland Wednesday.

Staples who is the current Agriculture Commissioner spoke at the Midland County Republican Women's Luncheon Wednesday afternoon.

He's campaigning across the Lone Star State and says his record speaks for itself:

"This race is about leadership and it's about results and I've been consistently ranked the most conservative in both chambers of the legislature when I ran and I've also delivered results."

Staples will be facing off against incumbent David Dewhurst and other republican challengers in the March Primaries before the November General Election.
