MIDLAND -- More information has been released on three people arrested for a recent murder at a Midland apartment complex.

According to Midland County Detention Center records, none of the three people arrested for the murder -- Edwin Ledell Smith, Reginald Omar Anders Jr. and Ashton Patrice Brazell -- actually lived at the Park at Caldera apartments, where the fatal shooting happened.

Smith, 20, Anders, 21, and Brazell, 17, are all charged with capital murder in Midland County for the December 23rd shooting death of Tovorian Carter. All three were arrested on December 31st.

Anders is also charged with a probation violation, while Brazell is facing failure to identify charges.

Smith and Anders are also being held for possible federal charges.

Police say Carter, 25, was shot once during a disturbance at his apartment around 1 AM on December 23rd. He was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he died.

There's still no word on what caused that disturbance in the first place.

Smith is being held on $250,000 bond. Anders is being held on $260,000 bond. Brazell is being held on $251,000 bond.
