SEMINOLE -- A domestic disturbance in Seminole caused police to lock down two schools Monday morning.
According to Seminole police, a 14-year-old pulled a gun on his mother.
After police got the mother safely out of the house they used the PA system to try to negotiate with the teen.
Officers say they got no response and fearing the teen may be on the loose and armed they placed schools nearby on a precautionary lockdown.
Police were able to enter the home and say the teen surrendered an unloaded shotgun.
As the teen is a minor his name is not being released, but police say he is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
