MIDLAND -- For the 21st year, Midland ISD will enjoy the Celebrations of Light Storytelling Festival! Worldrenowned storytellers will present educational and entertaining programs to children and adults.

Featured storytellers are Donald Davis of Ocracoke Island, North Carolina, Willy Claflin & Maynard Moose of San Francisco, California, Annalon Gilbreath of Lubbock, Texas, Bill Harley of Seekonk, Massachusetts, Barbara McBride-Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Charlotte Blake Alston of Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, Laura
Pershin Raynor of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Antonio Rocha of Gray, Maine, and Sue Roseberry of Midland,
Texas.

School-Based Educational Storytelling Program for Fourth-Grade Students -

Friday, December 13
MHS Auditorium, 906 W. Illinois Ave.
9 a.m.: Bowie, Carver, Greathouse, Henderson, Santa Rita, Scharbauer and South elementary schools
1 p.m.: Bush, Crockett, Emerson, Houston, Long, Pease and Rusk elementary schools


Community-Based Storytelling Program for All Ages -
Saturday, December 14
First United Methodist Church, 300 N. Main St.
10 a.m.: Morning Storytelling Concert
7 p.m.: Evening Storytelling Concert
Admission: $5 Students; $10 Adults; $20 Families
