MIDLAND -- "We're allowing our customers that generally around time constraints to have more time to get their holiday shopping done," said Jay Stanford, store manager for Kohl's in Midland.
MIDLAND -- "We're allowing our customers that generally around time constraints to have more time to get their holiday shopping done," said Jay Stanford, store manager for Kohl's in Midland.

Kohl's Department Store used to be open from 6 a. m. to midnight during the holidays.

Now, for the first time ever lights will stay on 24-hours a day.

"Yes, I like that. It's good for me," said Luci Arryo, a Kohl's customer.

Starting at six in the morning on Friday the 20th And remain open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Kohl's Store Manager, Jay Stanford said they'll have a full crew and with all registers running overnight.

"I hope people get what they need and I hope the people that are working don't have family to get home to 'cause that's kind of sad," said Linzey Fitzpatrick, a Kohl's customer.

"It's a great time to get out in the evening and not fight the holiday crowds that you'll see this weekend in the malls and other department stores," Stanford said.

Besides ditching the crowd, there's other benefits.

"Two-income families most of the time, it's hard for them to get out and shop so, being open 24 hours, this allows one person to stay home with their family and the other to come out and experience the great deals that Kohl's offers," Stanford said.

We asked how you felt about Kohl's new holidays hours on our Facebook page and several of you responded.

Steve-Tami Fourqurean says, "Stupid, there is nothing there worth staying open those kind of hours for! Surely socks and a blender can wait till morning!"

Lindsey Hughes says, "For those who work long hours during the day will now have an opportunity to get shopping done its only for a few days not the end of the world."

"We will close our doors so all our associates can enjoy their Christmas at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve," Stanford said.
