UPDATE: Officials Release New Details About Body Found by Horseback Riders

The Ector County Sheriff's Office released a description of the body that was found in a field on Sunday.
ECTOR COUNTY -- (Odessa Police Report) - (UPDATE) A 15-year-old has been charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide, a State Jail Felony, as a result of Odessa Police’s investigation into the death of Mateo Lujan.

15 year-old Lujan died Friday, June 27 after a reported accident near 21st and Center.

The suspect was charged and released to the parents. Police are continuing their investigation and the case will be turned over to the County Attorney’s office.

ECTOR COUNTY, TX (Local Big 2 News) - (UPDATE) The body found by horseback riders in Ector county this weekend  is that of a Hispanic man, according to officials.

Officials say he was between 40 - 60 years old, just under 6 feet tall, weighing between 170 - 180 pounds.

They believe the body had been there anywhere from one to three weeks.

Horseback riders found it on Sunday morning in a field near 16th and Damascus.

ECTOR COUNTY, TX (Local Big 2 News) -  An unidentified body was found Sunday morning in Ector County by horseback riders, Ector County Sheriff Mark Donaldson said.

The body was found in a field west of 16th and Damascus at about 10:30 a.m. but it is unknown how long the body had been there.

The sex of the victim is unknown, Sheriff Donaldson said.

The body is being sent to Tarrant County for an autopsy.
