The Ector County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the second victim in Friday’s officer-involved shooting in Odessa.

Hector Ivan Fuentes was in fair condition Sunday at Medical Center Hospital, authorities said.

Deputy Javier Leyva, an investigator with the Ector County Sheriff's office, who was also shot in the 3200 block of W. Tenth Street Friday afternoon, was released from the hospital Saturday.

The two were taken to Medical Center Hospital Friday after a man attempted to steal a car and later shot Fuentes and Leyva.

The gunman, Darrell Green, ran from police but was found a few hours later after a multi-agency search.

Green was arrested and is currently being held in a million dollar bond. It wasn’t immediately known if he had an attorney.

The investigation is now in the hands of the Texas Rangers.
