Here are the full details from Tx-DOT:

In an ongoing effort to preserve the integrity and safety of the state transportation system, the Texas Transportation Commission has approved a project for the Odessa District worth $8.7 million.

Jones Brothers Dirt and Paving Inc. of Odessa has won a contract to overlay 9.6 miles of Loop 250 in Midland. The project stretches from Interstate 20 on the west side of town to Garfield Street. Some segments will be milled out and replaced, but the majority of work consists of an overlay. The contract also calls for installation of some large guide signs and some smaller signs as well. The work is only scheduled for the main lanes.

"In a state as vast as Texas, it's imperative to not only have reliable roadways connecting our rural and urban citizens, but also to be diligent in designing and maintaining them with safety in mind," said Commissioner Fred Underwood, Texas Transportation Commission. "Keeping everyone safe on the road is our first priority. We must do everything we can to get the driving public safely to their destinations and home to their families at the end of the day."

There is no timeline established yet for when the work will begin.
