Odessa Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Odessa Police arrested Joshua Goad just after midnight on Wednesday after responding to an armed robbery call.
Odessa, TX (Local Big 2 News) - Odessa Police say they were called to 7-11 on the 600 block of W. 42nd St. around midnight Wednesday, for an armed robbery.

The clerk at the store said a man pointed a black handgun at him and said he would come back tomorrow to rob him.

The victim told police he fled the scene in a green Durango.

Officers found the vehicle at Kent Kwik on the 3700 block of Andrews Hwy just a few minutes after the call.

Joshua Goad and another person were in the SUV.

Police did a criminal history check on Goad, and found that he was a convicted felon.

They found a black handgun on him, checked the serial number and found that it was stolen.

Goad is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, and theft of a firearm, all felony charges.
