Police referred to her as Guzman, but she goes by Rachel Rodriguez. She was reported missing Tuesday afternoon, and her family had put together a search effort.

Earlier in the day Rodriguez’ husband, Epifanio Guzman, was arrested for indecency with a child in Howard County. According to a police report Rodriguez “was having marital problems” with Guzman and he “left with all his property and vehicles” on May 30.

The family had not talked to police at the time they talked with a photojournalist for EverythingLubbock.com, and so they did not yet have all the details of Rodriguez’ death.
