Midland, TX (Big 2 News) - The economic boom has constantly been affecting the Permian Basin.
Midland, TX (Big 2 News) - The economic boom has constantly been affecting the Permian Basin.

"It is always crowded," said Gail Theobald, an HEB customer.

It's impacted roads and housing.

"It's so chaotic, it's miserable," said Abbey Evans, another HEB customer,

But it also affects a typical chore, grocery shopping.

"It really is miserable to come to the grocery store 'cause it's so busy," Evans said.

HEB has a store in Midland and one in Odessa.

But that could be soon changing.

"I think that would be amazing. I hope they're true," Theobald said.

We told you about HEB's purchase last December of the former AT&T building in Midland.

Meanwhile in Odessa, according to the upcoming city council agenda, leaders are set to discuss the re-zoning of land at the corner of University and West Loop 338.

Neither property is confirmed to be a new HEB store.

"I love HEB, the produce is great but, the crowds are almost unbearable," said Shaunna Singer, an HEB customer.

Heb has confirmed on Monday, it will be announcing the expansion of its west Texas operations.

Many customers say this it's long overdue.

"I think that they should have done something about this a long time ago with the population increase but, hopefully they'll get it done soon 'cause we really need one," Evans said.

"I like shopping here, the parking's terrible but, I like the prices," Annie Brackens said, an HEB customer.

HEB officials tell us they also on announcing future charitable plans on Monday as well.
