Gov. Perry: Statewide Job Increase Best It's Been in Nearly Two Decades

Governor Rick Perry says that when it comes to adding jobs, the state of Texas has been "firing on all cylinders".
TEXAS (Local Big 2 News) - When it comes to "new jobs" in the Lone Star State, the numbers are the best they've been in nearly two decades.

In the past 12 months, Texas has added nearly 400,000 jobs.

It's the largest year-to-year job increase in almost 17 years, according to Gov. Rick Perry.

Perry says the state's job creation machine is firing on all cylinders.

Just in May, Texas added over 56,000 jobs, and unemployment dropped to 5.1 percent.
