The Alzheimer's Association chose Saturday because it will be the longest day of the year, and by wearing Purple you are showing the people suffering from Alzheimer's that they are not alone.

There are at least 44 million people worldwide living with Alzheimer's disease, in Texas at least 330,000 people are living with Alzheimer's disease.
