MIDLAND, TX (BIG 2 NEWS) -- A clay shoot to benefit the West Texas Food Bank is this Friday. And you still have time to sign up for the Dawson Blast.

(MIDLAND, TX.) Dawson Geophysical Company has announced its first Dawson Blast Clay Shoot on Friday, April 18, 2014, at Jake's Clays located at 13301 FM 1379 in Midland. Proceeds from this sporting event will benefit the West Texas Food Bank, which is currently undergoing a capital campaign to expand its current facility in Odessa and build open a new Midland facility in 2015. "We are thrilled that Dawson Geophysical is hosting this fun event to benefit Permian Basin residents who are food insecure," states Libby Campbell, Executive Director of the food bank. "It will be a great event that will also raise funds for this worthwhile endeavor," she adds.

Six-man team rotations are scheduled for 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM on April 18, and the registration fee is $175 per shooter. Sponsorships are also available ranging from $500 to $2,500 and can be reserved by contacting Kristen Bradshaw at kristen@dawson3d.com. Registration deadline for teams has been extended. Spots for both morning and afternoon teams are still open. Lunch will be provided at 11:30 AM
and gun boards will be awarded during lunch.

The West Texas Food Bank provides for those in need by distributing donated and purchased food through a network of over 80 Partner Agencies such as food pantries, shelters and soup kitchens serving 75,000 people in 19 counties throughout West Texas.
