CARLSBAD, NM (Big 2 News) -- Carlsbad Police are searching for a couple who held up a bank last month.

Date & Time: 03/26/14 1000 hours

The Carlsbad Police Department is still seeking information on the bank robbery which occurred on February 7, 2014 at Western Commerce Bank (3010 National Parks Highway, Carlsbad, New Mexico). Two people, a large man described as both being Hispanic or white, and a hispanic or white female, walked into Western Commerce Bank with their faces covered and concealed. The male produced a handgun and pointed it at an employee while the female directed a teller to open her drawer and give her cash. Once the cash was given to the female the suspects exited the bank and left the area on a blue colored motorcycle. The motorcycle was described as possibly being a Harley-Davidsion (possibly Low-Rider model – softail). The suspect’s motorcycle may have been repainted or altered since the investigation first began. The suspects left the area heading south on Old Cavern Highway. Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance, and any all information would be appreciated.
