18-Wheeler Crash Creates Haz-Mat Situation

A major interstate intersection was shutdown for more than six hours Monday after a crash created a haz-mat situation.
ODESSA, TX (Local Big 2 News) -- A major interstate intersection was shutdown for more than six hours Monday after a crash created a haz-mat situation.

Two 18-wheelers crashed into each other at I-20 and Moss Avenue around 9:00 Monday morning.

Tx-DOT crews say one truck signaled a turn, but actually drove straight which caused the other 18-wheeler to crash into the first.

Officials on scene said there were no injuries, but it caused quite the mess.

Crews say diesel spilled all over the intersection and haz-mat crews had to work for hours to clean everything up.

Tx-DOT reports it opened the intersection back up about 3:00 Monday afternoon.
